Plymouth U14 takes a weekend split
PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s U14 travel team went 2-2 over the weekend.
Saturday Plymouth opened with an 8-5 loss to the Muddhounds.
Darian Scott-Ross had a pair of hits and RBIs for Plymouth, McCoy Gantz had a double and Grady Scott homered.
Calvin Lewallen suffered the loss on the mound.
Plymouth rebounded for a win in the nightcap Saturday taking and 11-7 win over the NEI Bombers.
Frank Chaney had a pair of hits and RBIs, Gantz had three more RBIs for Plymouth, Mason Tillman and Caleb Edmiston had a pair of RBIs.
Benson Prater was the winner on the mound.
Sunday started with a win over the Landsharks White team belting out 10 hits in a 19-9 final in three innings.
Chaney and Gantz each had a pair of hits and RBIs, Gantz had a double and a home run. Scott-Ross and Scott had doubles.
Cole Schaefer was the winning pitcher.
Game two on Sunday saw Indiana Jacks White taking a win by a final of 10-2.
Chaney had two hits, one a triple and an RBI. Edmiston had three hits and an RBI.
Grady Scott struck out three in taking the loss.
Plymouth is now 14-6-1 on the year.
