Triton girls run to HNAC title
BOURBON — The Triton Trojans Girls Varsity claimed the 2026 HNAC Conference Championship for the second time in school history with a complete team effort Tuesday night, using strong distance performances, relay
success, and depth across the lineup to secure the title.
Triton’s distance crew delivered huge points throughout the meet. Evelyn Gephart earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors with runner-up finishes in both the 800-meter run and 3200-meter run, while also placing third in the 1600.
McKenna Emenaker had a breakout night with a personal record and All-Conference Honorable Mention finish in the 1600-meter run, added another PR in the 800, and helped power Triton’s conference championship 4×800 relay team.
The 4×800 relay team of Izzy Rettinger, McKenna Emenaker, Chloe McKinney, and Evelyn Gephart captured the HNAC title in 11:04.9 to earn All-Conference honors.
Addison Albright added major points in the hurdle events, finishing runner-up in the 300 hurdles to earn All-Conference Honorable Mention honors while also placing third in the 100 hurdles with a season-best time.
Rilee Bemish earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors with a runner-up finish in pole vault and also scored in both hurdle events.
Additional key performances included:
Kiyliyen Fear — 3rd in the 100, 4th in long jump, and part of the 4×100 relay
Morgan Heckaman and Austyn Wright — scoring finishes in the 400 and members of the runner-up 4×400 relay
Izzy Rettinger — 3rd in the 3200 and member of the winning 4×800 relay
Avery Faulkner — 3rd in high jump
Lydia Hammond — scorer in pole vault and member of the 4×100 relay
The Trojans used their depth and consistency across nearly every event to bring home the HNAC Conference Championship trophy!
