Bremen soccer takes road loss

SOUTH BEND — The Bremen Lions traveled to historic School Field on Saturday morning for a matchup with a very strong South Bend Adams team and came away with a tough 4-1 loss.
Both teams were coming off intense and challenging matches and were anticipating the same for the morning clash. The game was back and forth for much of the first half, with both teams creating chances, but Adams found the net late in the half on a quick corner kick play.
The Eagles came out with focus in the second half, finding the back of the net three times in less than ten minutes, creating a 4-0 advantage for the home side.
The Lions fought back throughout the second half and created numerous opportunities, but couldn’t quite finish. Shortly after a Lions’ goal was called offside, the boys created another chance, and Austin Town found the back of the net from a Mason Heighn assist.
It was a tough first loss, but the team will look to bounce back at home on Tuesday night against Trinity.
