Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week 12-14-19

Kole McIntire

Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Kole McIntire, a member of the Boys Basketball Team at Knox Community High School.

Kole helped lead his team to a come from behind win over arch rival North Judson San-Pierre High School, highlighted by his second half performance. He scored 25 points, pulled down 8 rebounds, hit 7-10 at the free throw line, and buried two 3-pointers. In addition, he delighted the crowd with two slam dunks, came up with a steal, and had two assists.

Finding his team down by eight at the half, the 6-4 Sophomore put 19 of his points up in the second half to give the ‘Skins their third win of the year, with an 81-75 victory.

Kole is the son of Shawn and Wendy McIntire, and was a key member of the first ever Sectional Championship football team at Knox last Fall.

Congratulations to Kole McIntire of Knox Community High School, our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week!

Kole will receive a certificate suitable for framing, a history of the award, a t-shirt commemorating his achievement, and a free pizza compliments of Momma’s Pizzeria.
