Plymouth girls get big win
MICHIGAN CITY — Plymouth’s Lady Pilgrims were on the road to Michigan City Saturday evening, taking a big 52-17 win.
The Pilgrims had a strong start, jumping on the Wolves 22-7 at the end of the first quarter, and didn’t look back. The Pilgrims’ defensive pressure forced the Wolves into 20 turnovers that they were able to capitalize on. Plymouth also outrebounded Michigan City 30-14.
All 10 players were able to contribute to the Lady Pilgrims’ win. Leading the way was Chloe Horton with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Lydia Wray had an impactful game, contributing 9 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds. Hayden Shipley added 7 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds. Peyton Ellinger was a positive presence inside and added 6 points and 4 rebounds.
Plymouth will host Bremen Tuesday night in a game you can hear on MAX 98.3, pregame starts at 7 p.m. with the tip off at 7:30 p.m.
